around the campsite.

There were a lot of signs of eagles, but not until now I saw one. There's an eagle( not sure, maybe not eagle, but definetely a raptor) just stand at the bike route. I think it's kinda nervous when it saw me. I stopped right away, hope I didn't scare it, but it's too late. He tried to fly away. But, well, you know raptors, they are not good at taking off. It jumped several times and finally jumped into the woods. Hope it's fine.
Another interesting thing I saw today is a biker. He got a red bike, with 4 red panniers, wearing RED T-shirt, RED shorts, and RED shoes. And he also got a guitar on his back in a RED bag. Combined with his white beard and hair. I expected to see some reindeers but it didn't happen. Is he tired of his sleds?
more castles...castles here along Mosel are not as easy to find as those along Rhine. Sometimes you have to look back to find them.

There's a small town around the hill where this castle is situated. I forgot the name...
This is considered a large town along Mosel, but actually it's quite small. Unlike the Rhine, there are cliffs along both sides of Mosel. So actually there's not much space for big town.
I found a bike shop, wanna repair my bike panier. The hook of one of the paniers are broken. But there's no bike shop big enough to buy those kinda stuff. So I tied the panier with a rope, a temporary remedy.

This is my lunch. very nice croissant.

There's a wind band playing in the cityhall square.

This is a ruin on the side of the road, dunno what it is. Tried to get in, but the grass is too long for my bike to pass.

some ruin...

This is a ruin of an very old monastery.

I took out the jam that I bought in Denmark and almost forgot. Suddenly I found that I the word written on the cap means blackberry, the german guy I met in Koblenz taught me that. Finally I know what the jam is made of.

This I bought in a supermarket. Quite good.

Very cool seats along Mosel.
Mosel

This place is called "wolf". Fortunately I'm not gonna camp here...

There are a lot of place with the sign "Zimmer frei", which means "room for rent". but according some guide book, they are for long term rental, even if the landlord let you stay for only one night, it wouldn't be cheap.
"Zimmer frei"

A huge tent here, seems like a festival. but I think it's ended.

Another small town.

It's hard to find a place to camp around here. Too many people. It's already passed 11 when I found a place to camp. It's along the river and very well hidden. The problem is the ground is too hard. I decided not to pitch the tent, just wrap up the sleeping bag with the tent to keep the mosquitoes away. This turned out to be a wrong decision...
That night it rained...Well, fortunately the sleeping bag is good enough, I still can sleep.
