This morning I met my Egyptian roommate. He's also a cyclist and quite interested in my journey.

Gonna move to the campsite today. Kinda far...

This is L' Arc de Triomphe, the biggest obstruction in Paris, or maybe in Europe. L'arc de triomphe is a HUGE roundabout, and I have to cross it to the other side to get to Bois de Boulogne. A French came up, and ask me if I need help to take a picture of me and l'arc. Well, I do need help, I need help to get across the enormous roundabout... I asked him how to get through. He told me I got 2 choices. First, you can go outside of l' arc, get around l'arc through the streets around le arc. Second, and his personal choice, go directly into Le Arc... Hmm...Since I'm in Paris, I should experience the local life....

I went into the biggest roundabout ever. The cars coming into the roundabout kept pushing me inward, so I ended up in the center of the round about, in Le Arc... Well, now the problem is how to get out of the roundabout. Just when I was pondering, a couple, tourists I reckon, stand at the edge of Le Arc, trying to get to the other side. That's a really good opportunity, I just followed them and ended this nightmare. I can tell you this roundabout is even more scary than the highway in Russia...

So I settled down in the campsite. It still costed me 16€ per night!! A campsite without free internet and self-catering kitchen costs you 16€ per night, I think you can only find this in Paris.
The ground of the campsite is so damn hard, I can't drive the tent pegs into the ground even a bit. I've tried several places but still failed. Well, my neighbor told me that he has tried all over the campsite, it's all hard. And then he lent a brick and told me to punch the pegs into the ground. Well, it works, but still my pegs can go only half way into. Well, that's it, nothing else I can do...

After the arduous tent pitching process, I decided to go to La Defense. There's a very big supermarket, which they call hypermarket. I'm gonna buy some food and spend the rest of the days here...

La Defense

Eclair, this is my favorite dessert. left hand side is coffee, right one is chocolate

That night, it rained very hard. The ground is softened and my tent collapsed. I woke up and rebuilt my tent in the dark and heavy rain, and tried to get rid of the water in my tent. Fortunately I got pretty good sleeping bag. It's still warm even got wet.
